King Street Wharf venue Kobe Jones is celebrating a milestone, 11 years of delivering modern Japanese cuisine to Sydneysiders. Since its 2003 opening, Kobe Jones has undergone numerous expansions and snapped up several awards for its unique and modern food offerings.
“We’re incredibly proud and excited to be celebrating Kobe Jones’ eleventh birthday. The support from our customers in Sydney over the years has been invaluable and we are delighted to be sharing this occasion with them,”.
In 2006 Kobe Jones underwent a refurbishment and expansion to include the adjoining tenancy at King Street Wharf doubling in size. Its stunning harbour view position has been a favourite with diners and the restaurant has since undergone another transformation in 2010 which saw the creation of Wharf Teppanyaki and another refurbishment.
Wharf Teppanyaki offers diners a new way to eat and experience Japanese cuisine. Using the latest technologies, the custom designed set up features 12 cooking stations and seating for up to 46 people.
Kobe Jones has received recognition for its modern Japanese offerings and in 2013 picked up a hat at the prestigious Gault&Millau awards, ahead of thousands of other Sydney restaurants.
